The Rat Terrier is a breed of dog known for intelligence, agility, and hunting skills. They are small to medium-sized with a muscular build and short coat. Rat Terriers are highly energetic and require regular exercise and mental stimulation. They are generally friendly with children but may not get along well with other animals. Caution is needed when introducing them to other pets due to their strong prey drive. They are generally healthy but may have genetic health issues. Rat Terriers are easy to groom and require minimal maintenance. Training and socialization are important for them to be well-behaved and obedient. They make great companions for active individuals or families.
