The Akita, a sizable and robust breed originating from Japan, is characterized by its thick fur and imposing stature, typically standing between 24 to 28 inches tall and weighing 70 to 130 pounds. They exhibit a range of colors including brown, white, and red. With a lifespan of around 10 to 15 years, Akitas are known for their loyal and protective temperament towards their families, often displaying a reserved demeanor around strangers. Despite their independence, they thrive on affection and require consistent training and socialization to foster their gentle and devoted nature.
We've three girls and three boys available. Mom is 80 lbs, super sweet, easy to get started and easy to train. Dad is a strong 100 + OFAd and a goofball. Puppies come with first feeds, limited registration of AKC and de wormings. Raised on our 40-acre ranch in Kingman AZ, they are introduced to kids, cats and livestock. Text for more information.
